Why Not Recycle?
Recycling is one of the major challenge every country is facing. recycling is very important for the sustainability of any environment and economy, but at the same time is a challenge most countries are facing. the problems arise from lack technical know-how and the cost of recycling. But what most people fail to understand is that the cost of extraction of these resources should also be factored in not to talk of the different level of environmental and health problems associated with constant disposal of such waste materials. The R3 principle is there to ensure that our environment is safe from all possible nuisance that my arise as a result of waste generation. Below i want to highlight a few key points that will help achieve sustainability environmentally and economically.
KITCHEN WASTE MANURE: As humans it is inevitable that we must eat to survive, as such it is one the easiest way we generate huge amount of waste. Most the waste we generate can be toxic to the environment and humans themselves but the good news about kitchen waste is that(by kitchen waste here i mean food waste) 90% of them are biodegradable meaning they can be decomposed naturally over time to produce a mixture which we can covert to compost manure. have you ever thought of why your kitchen trash has this foul odor, its as a result of decomposition. SO THROW LESS DECOMPOSE MORE. Use the produce for that precious garden of yours.
CLOTHES: Everyone wears cloths or if there is anyone who doesn't i will drop my number below and we can have a chat later. back to the point, the clothes we wear over time and dispose mostly go to the trash where they can be recycled but mostly are not and end up causing nuisance in the environment and the only thing we really need to do is for someone to open a center where used clothes can be submitted and the re-useful part can be put too such use while the rest can be sent for recycling.
FURNITURE AND ELECTRONICS WE THROW: People always want there homes to look good so they change there furniture's time to time. where does the used furniture goes to? junkyards is the answer. As for electronics the picture is more clearer people change mobile phones at will just to keep up with the trend but we never imagine where do the used phones to go. The only solution is to Reuse and Recycle but as I mentioned earlier recycling is very expensive and capital intensive so the best option is to reuse as much as possible
ENERGY FROM WASTE: Waste is great source of energy the mostly neglect. Most of us might me wondering how is this possible but we can, relax its possible i will tell you how. If every can have a digester, most the kitchen waste they dispose will be converted into energy in form of bio-gas which can be used as cooking gas or energy source such heating systems and even source of power. the only problem is access to the conversion technology but people are still producing compromised systems.
Lets save our planet by recycling more.
